Girls rule

Teagan, Taylor and Maya all had well child check ups this week. One of the perks of having this many kids is that you can cram multiple doctor visits into one appointment. When Landon has his 3 year check up, Maya and Taylor will have their 18 month appt. We have already planned it out!

Anyway, Teagan had her 5 year check up, a bit early to get ready for Kindergarten. We talked about booster shots and all of the other fun things that would happen there. She was a total trooper and loved the eye exam and the blood pressure test. She wasn't so sure about putting on the scratchy looney tunes covered hospital gown, but we told her it was either that or wait for Dr. Bentley naked. She chose the gown and her check up went well. She is actually measuring a little on the tall side and her weight is averaging out. Everything else was excellent. She opted to let the twins get their shots first. I knew that that wasn't a great idea since she would have time to get stressed out. She waited patiently and then when it was her turn she politely said, I don't want any shots! I held her on my lap and she screamed with the first poke, pinched me with the second and contorted her body to try to escape the third. But, as quickly as it started, it was over. She was a champ and was happy to hear that shots were on the back burner for at least 7 more years.

Taylor and Maya checked out well too. They are still measuring tiny, Taylor is only in the 10th percentile for weight at 18 lbs. and Maya is a bit higher at 19.5 lbs. They are healthy and happy and Dr. Bentley even told Tyler and I that he is proud of us. We kind of laughed, but it was a nice pat on the back. Dr. Bentley has 8 children, including a set of twin girls. We take his advice as gold!

  1. Cute post! We hate those Dr. appointments that involve shots too.

  2. I love Dr. Bentley! He sounds great, and I am so jealous because our new pediatrician doesn't do family appointments! Glad you survived those often too painful appointments!
